Val-des-Brises Long-Term Care

The CHSLD Val-des-Brises, located in Laval, Quebec, officially opened in 2022. This new long-term care facility was designed to accommodate 232 residents, many of whom are living with moderate to severe neurocognitive disorders. The project’s primary goal was to create a secure, comfortable, and soothing living environment that promotes dignity and well-being, while meeting the highest standards of healthcare design, safety, and infection control.

The CHSLD Val-des-Brises now features a harmonious, functional, and therapeutic flooring design that enhances resident safety and comfort. The combination of Taralay Impression and Tarasafe Standard products provides a durable, hygienic, and easy-to-maintain solution, while the warm and natural aesthetic contributes to a homelike, reassuring atmosphere that supports both residents and healthcare staff.

Taralay Impression Habana Vinales (1070) – Installed over 13,000 yd² in corridors, dining rooms, and resident common areas, this flooring offers exceptional durability, acoustic comfort, and a welcoming wood-inspired design.

Taralay Impression Habana Trinidad (1069) – Used over 300 yd² in accent areas to create contrast and support spatial orientation for residents.
