Harvest Oak Public School

The new Harvest Oak Public School in Oakville, Ontario, was completed in 2025 to accommodate more than 750 students from kindergarten to Grade 8. Designed with a focus on accessibility, sustainability, and student well-being, the facility required versatile flooring solutions to meet the performance and safety needs of classrooms, corridors, and gymnasium spaces.

To meet these goals, Gerflor provided a combination of resilient flooring products that ensure durability, comfort, and design continuity throughout the school. Creation 70 was selected for classrooms and administrative areas for its wood-inspired aesthetics and long-lasting performance. Recreation 45 and Sport M Plus were installed in the gymnasiums and activity spaces, offering superior shock absorption, slip resistance, and comfort underfoot ideal for both sports and multipurpose school activities.

The new facility features a modern, safe, and high-performance flooring system that enhances both learning and recreation spaces. The combination of Creation 70, Recreation 45, and Sport M Plus delivers a cohesive, sustainable, and visually appealing design that supports student activity, well-being, and long-term operational efficiency.

To meet the school’s wide-ranging requirements, Gerflor supplied a variety of high-performance flooring solutions across different functional zones:

Creation 70 Limed Oak (0329) – Installed over 36,000 ft² in classrooms and administrative areas. This luxury vinyl tile (LVT) combines natural wood visuals with outstanding durability, acoustic comfort, and ease of maintenance—ideal for high-traffic educational environments.

Creation 70 Deep Forest (0360) – Installed over 3,000 ft² in common spaces, providing design contrast and warmth while maintaining consistent technical performance.

To meet the school’s wide-ranging requirements, Gerflor supplied a variety of high-performance flooring solutions across different functional zones:

Recreation 45 Canadian Maple Pebble Finish – Installed over 1,524 yd² in gymnasium areas, offering Class 1 shock absorption (ASTM F2772), slip resistance, and resilience for multipurpose sports use.

Recreation 45 Gris (2711) – Used over 220 yd² in accent or border zones to define play and circulation areas.

Sport M Plus Canadian Maple Pebble Finish (6384) – Installed over 473 yd² in secondary gym or multi-sport areas, providing Class 2 shock absorption, superior ball rebound, and comfort underfoot.

Sport M Plus Maple Stone (6384) – Used over 260 yd² in additional activity spaces, maintaining aesthetic harmony and technical consistency throughout the facility.
