Setting the example with environmentally friendly products

Committed to instilling essential values in future generations, Gerflor is actively involved in environmental initiatives and offers low-environmental impact flooring solutions.

In substance, this means we commit to reducing CO2 emissions by 20% per square meter produced by 2025, with an initial reduction of 16% between 2016 and 2019. To achieve significant CO2 savings while promoting recycling and improving indoor air quality, Gerflor focuses on loose-lay products that do not require adhesive for their installation. These products currently account for 25% of Gerflor's sales and are expected to reach 35% by 2025. We have also made a pledge to increase the use of recycled materials in the production of our flooring. The current content of 25% recycled materials will reach 30% by 2025.

Finally, Gerflor plans to significantly increase its total recycled products by 2025, thanks to two end-of-life product collection channels. While 50,000 tons were recycled in 2020, over 60,000 tons will be recycled annually as from 2025.

For nurseries and nursery schools, you can choose a padded foam quality that effectively cushions any falls.
